Understand the importance of good communication for a systems analyst
Systems analysts must spend a great deal of time interacting with users, clients, management and developers. A project’s success may depend upon the analyst clearly communicating details like project requirements, requested changes and testing results. Fluent language skills and written communication abilities are necessary to thrive in a systems analyst career.
The systems analyst must be able to communicate effectively in all these ways:
- Face to face discussions;
- Email;
- Telephone;
- Charts and graphs;
- Written reports;
- Spreadsheets.
